Microneedling

Microneedling is a powerful rejuvenation treatment that takes advantage of the body’s own healing abilities to repair the skin. At Renew & Rejuvenate Aesthetic MD Clinics, we specialize in microneedling and other medical spa services to help patients achieve their cosmetic goals. We are proud to serve the residents of Fleming Island, Brunswick, Savannah, and the surrounding communities of Florida and Georgia.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a simple rejuvenation treatment that triggers the body’s natural healing processes to repair and rejuvenate the skin. This is done by using microneedles to create small, superficial injuries to the skin. In response, the body increases collagen production and works to rapidly heal these injuries. With the substantial increase in collagen, the body is able to repair the skin to be even healthier than it was before. As a result, microneedling can produce healthier, stronger and more youthful skin. It is an effective solution for addressing signs of aging, skin damage, uneven skin tone or texture and more.

How Much does Microneedling Cost?

The cost of your microneedling treatment will vary depending on the extent of treatment needed to produce your desired results. To get a better idea of how much your microneedling treatment will cost, we encourage you to come in for a private consultation with one of our medical professionals. To keep this and other treatments affordable for patients, we are proud to offer financing options via CareCredit®.

What are the Benefits of Microneedling?

There are many benefits to receiving microneedling treatments with the professionals at Renew & Rejuvenate Aesthetic MD Clinics, including:

  • Minimally invasive cosmetic procedure
  • Improved skin tone and texture
  • Reduction in pore size
  • Reduction in scars and acne scars
  • Reduction in lines and wrinkles
  • Little to no downtime

What Can I Expect During my Microneedling Treatment?

Each of your microneedling treatments will be performed at your local Renew & Rejuvenate Aesthetic MD Clinics facility by one of our expert medical professionals. Before your treatment begins, a topical anesthetic may be applied to your treatment area. Then, we’ll use a handheld microneedling device to create small wounds in the skin. It may take approximately 30 minutes to treat the entire face. Fortunately, the microneedling treatment is generally well-tolerated by patients.

What Results Can I Expect from Microneedling?

The microneedling treatment is minimally invasive, which means that there is no significant downtime required. However, patients can expect some swelling, redness and some pinpoint bleeding in the treatment area. These symptoms typically heal within a few days, but patients are advised to take special care of the skin until these side effects resolve. This may include avoiding sun exposure and adjusting your skin care routine. After the healing process, the body will continue to rejuvenate the skin for several weeks to come. While results may be noticeable within a few days or weeks, it can take one to two months for the full results to become visible.

Ideal candidates for microneedling are in good general health and have realistic expectations of their desired results.
