Hyrdrafacial Pre & Post Care

We are looking forward to seeing you for your upcoming visit in our Medi Spa! Our highly-trained team is looking forward to providing you with an exceptional treatment experience. In order to help you maximize your treatment results and minimize any potential unwanted side effects, we are including a list of treatment instructions to follow for before and after your treatment. Please contact our staff if you have any questions or concerns.

HYDRAFACIALTM MD TAKE HOME GUIDELINES

HydraFacialTM MD is the only hydradermabrasion procedure that combines cleansing, extraction and hydration  simultaneously, resulting in clearer, more beautiful skin with little-to-no downtime.

The treatment is soothing, moisturizing, non-invasive and generally non-irritating. As with most procedures, visible results from HydraFacialTM MD will vary from person to person.

Pre-Treatment Instructions for HydraFacial:

  • Discontinue the use of topical Retin-A or tretinoin for at least 48 prior to you treatment.
  • Refrain from any type of exfoliating treatments such as glycolic acid or enzymes to the area for 48 hours before your HydraFacial treatment.
  • Refrain from any medium and/or deep chemical resurfacing treatments (peels) and laser treatments for 2 weeks before your HydraFacial treatment.
  • Refrain from waxing and use of depilatories for 48 hours before treatment.
  • Discontinue use of over-the-counter acne medications such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid for 48 hours before treatment.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure as well as the use of artificial tanning beds for 72 hours before Treatment.
  • Wait 1 day after Botox and 2 weeks after fillers to undergo a treatment. Botox and fillers can be given on the same day but AFTER your HydraFacial treatment.
  • The day of your treatment, inform provider of any changes in medical history and of all medications you are taking.

Post-Treatment Instructions for HydraFacial:

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure as well as the use of artificial tanning beds for 72 hours after Treatment.
  • Cleanse skin with gentle cleanser.
  • Apply sunscreen 30 or greater sunscreen daily.
  • Discontinue the use of topical Retin-A or generic tretinoin for at least 48 after treatment.
  • Refrain from waxing and use of depilatories for 48 hours after treatment
  • Refrain from any medium and/or deep chemical resurfacing treatments (peels) and laser treatments for 2 weeks after your HydraFacial MD treatment.
  • Refrain from any type of exfoliating treatments such as glycolic acid or enzymes to the area for 48 hours after your HydraFacial treatment.
  • Discontinue use of over-the-counter acne medications such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid for 48 hours after treatment
  • Avoid heat (hot showers, sauna, and intense cardio) for 24 hours after treatment.
  • If you do not need to apply makeup for the remainder of the day it is recommended (on the day of your treatment).
